Analosi’s Y8 Leavers Book!!!!!!!

A great experience for me at Corinna School was when I had the opportunity to go and compete at Amis Games 2015, in Tauranga; with my amazing netball team Jade.

Aims Games is a national sporting event up in Tauranga, where Year 7 and 8 students from around New-Zealand come to test their skills and compete to see who’s the best netball team.

I loved competing at Aims Games because we got to meet a lot of people and also become their friends. We had to work our butt’s off to win all our games. We had a good bond with each other and with the parents. Everyone was happy and proud at the same time.

The best thing about Corinna School was making new friends and getting to know everyone here. I will miss everything about Corinna School. I am proud of how much I have learnt over the past few years and what I have achieved in many areas like sport and culture. I would like to thank all my teachers because without these wonderful teachers I wouldn't be up to the level I am now.

I LEARN BEST AT A DESK (SPEECH)

I am hear to talk to you about what the difference is between 21st Century Learning and Old School Learning, and to explain why 21St century learning is the best.

Let's go all the way back when our mums and dad’s went to school. Once they got into the school gates, teachers were very Strict. They had No choice. Students were  to walk in orderly lines to their class rooms. When they get into their classroom everyone was to be quiet.

Teachers were very very bossy. The teachers stood up in the front and told the kids what to do. The kids listened and wrote down notes. They had No technology. They worked at there disk’s on there own. All the disks where to face  the front of the class.

Would you want go to a school like that? I wouldn't because now it seems in 21st century learning it has changed a lot. We now have technology & digital devices like laptops, chrome’s, Ipads & Fancy phones.

I am absolutely 100% sure that students now have choices of what they want to learn, Students can work in different spaces inside, outside and in different classrooms in groups and teams. Learning had helped us connect to help us solve big inquiry questions. We work together like a team.

I say if you really believe that old style is cool, I say you should think again.
