Reading Learning Story

In Reading I have been learning to find information about the Vietnam War. I wanted to find out who was involved and where did it take place. I used these websites to help me find answers to my wondering questions.:

To help me research about the Vietnam war, I also used books in the library to find out more information about the Vietnam war. 

When I researching to find the answers I had to skim and scan to read and also find answers to the questions faster. Sometimes me and my buddy will have to read in between the lines to find some clues to help us understand what the author means when he doesn't just tell us.

When we find the answer we write notes about it so we can go back and talk about them. We have to work out what is the key information and what will help answer our questions. We then summarise it in our own words so we can explain what we learnt.

I have found out that the Vietnam War took place in Vietnam from 1959-1975, but NZ went in 1963. New Zealand only supported a little bit compared to world war 1 and world war 2. 
The war was against South Vietnam and North Vietnam.
New Zealand went to Vietnam war because North Vietnam was a communist country and we didn't want to be a communist country too.
