2015 Polyfest Learning Story
On Wednesday night, Corinna School performed fabulously in front of more than 100 people at Hosanna Church.
I got the opportunity to perform in the Senior Samoan group and Kapahaka group.
While we were getting ready in the changing rooms the K.C. skill I used was Self-Managing and Relating to others.
One of the main rules was to always listen to the teachers, whanau and Parents and to show respect by following their instructions and waiting patiently for our turn to perform.
One of the other K.C. skills I used was Relating to others skills by supporting and encouraging others to learn the Sa Sa and Siva Samoa before we performed.
The only way for us to be able to perform properly was to attend to all practises during the holidays and Monday afternoons which is called committing myself to the team.
During the practises we would have to show discipline and commitment.
At the end of all performances I finally knew that it was really not that scary performing in front of such a big crowd of people.
I also felt proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone to perform in a large crowd.
